I'm pretty sure it was in the transfer window before the 2005/6 season and he ended up at Arsenal in the January window 2006

Hugh said most whoers wanted us to sign him. Is that true? I don't recall people debating his merits based on an intimate knowledge of Togolese youth football.

We were. He was due to sign for us when we were in Holland for the Den Haag game - was at the team hotel and everything - but then he fucked us off.

You do talk bollocks Hugh. Metz took him to France when he was 14 or 15. Can't recall any discussion on here about 14yo Togolese footballers! He went to Monaco and as usual around that time Wenger scouted the French market best. When he appeared for Arsenal in 2006 that would have been the first time most were aware of him.
He was a very good player for Arsenal and for a while at Man City & Spurs but has obviously decided money is what matters. When he leaves Spurs I'm sure someone will offer him a contract. That's how football works. Talented footballers who have pushed over refs or even killed or raped people get offers.

Where's his pride?
He's minted already but he'll have a long time to reflect on the fact that he will be remembered for being a pisstaking cunt.

I think all clubs these days recognise that it's inevitable they will have players in the squad who are paid large salaries under contract but never or hardly ever play, whether through injury or non selection.
It's especially problematic for the high spending clubs with bigger squads. All the big clubs have these problem players - look at van Persie and di Maria at Man Utd after they fell out of favour with van Gaal.
Tottenham though must have wasted more money on players over the last few years than any other club relative to their revenue. Long may it continue.

If Adebayor was packaged in a crate, the yellow and black hazord tape would be emblazoned with the words DO NOT TOUCH

I know but I definitely heard something to the contrary. Can't remember where I heard this...presumably I was very, very drunk.

I'm sure I heard something along the lines that he can't go anywhere in January either.

Is there any end to the lies you post?

Well done ade. He is a good mate of songs so it will be even funnier if he is seen watching song at Upton Park for a match whilst on the Spurs payroll. I personally will give him a standing ovation.
Come on song, get him a ticket.

He must either be extremely thick or he knows his career is over - no club will touch him after this.
